Operation: Rising Tide

i’ve been deeply reflecting on what makes the HJP community special. for many of us, FFXIV is what brought us together, but i believe that the impact of HJP goes far beyond video games.

over the past 4 months, many HJP community members (myself included) have had meaningful experiences of empowerment, discovery, camaraderie, and personal growth. i believe that for whatever reason, HJP has cultivated an environment that encourages these powerful transformational moments that i know has a ripple effect IRL. to me, these moments are so special and so difficult to find as an adult that i truly consider them to be real-world magic.

it is magic to me when you have the chance to step into a leadership role for the very first time. it’s magic to me when you push yourself out your comfort zone to try something you didn’t think you could ever do. it’s magic to me when you feel a sense of purpose by being a part of this community.

in a world of endless noise, negativity, AI, and “should-ing,” i believe that it is a worthwhile endeavor to cultivate this real-world magic because i think it makes the world a better place.

Operation: Rising Tide is an invitation to all of you to take an active role as part of the crew in creating more opportunities for more magic for more people. on paper, this will end up looking like more FFXIV and Discord events but each step of the way is a chance for someone to:

-feel seen/heard
-try something new or different
-explore what you’re capable of
-have more fun
-cultivate the magic
